How do you view your business?

Is it a valuable asset like your home or 401K? Or is it a means to control your time and lifestyle?

The vast majority of American business owners are really good at what they do.  But the skill set that made them successful doesn’t necessarily translate to understanding concepts that it takes to grow value in their business.  Consequently creating a valuable business someone else would buy never enters the equation.
